Hello Emily,

Welcome!

Congratulations on the engagement. Were you looking for a man who disciplined or did it take you by surprise?

Nate

Thank you Nate and Krystal! :)

Nate, I was the one who first brought up DD, so no, it wasn't something that took me by surprise.

Somewhat belated but "Welcome to the forum!"

Congratulations on your engagement and well done for bring up the subject of DD. I hope you don't mind me asking but how did you learn about it yourself in the first place?

Looking forward to reading more of your posts!

No, I donโ€™t mind you asking, Ezz. I grew up in a strict but loving and caring family environment and when I saw how some of the other kids around me behaved I began to wonder if my family was somewhat of a rarity rather than norm, so I started looking around on the internet for answers and thatโ€™s where I first heard about wives submitting to their husbands and the DD lifestyle.

Thanks for your answer there, Emily.

Like me, you understand the value of a traditional and morally correct upbringing, strict but in a caring environment. I struggle to understand how so many don't have the benefit of this and can see that you would wonder about the rarity of your own situation. You had the strength to raise the prospect of DD and I applaud you for doing so.

I am curious to know what his initial reaction was and hope you won't mind sharing that also?
Whatever the initial reaction, it sounds as though he has risen to the challenge of becoming your HoH. I fully appreciate that this is no easy thing for them (HoH's) to adapt to. I am lucky that Jez was able to do so and you must feel the same about your fiance. Well done again, to both of you.
