Funny story... Colin Farish album anyone?

Part of being around DD for a while is over time you find “little gems”.

Years ago, in 2010, my husband ( still my finance at the time) introduced me to the Love is Awake album by Colin Farish... perhaps some of you have heard songs from this album.😂
I’ll reserve my opinion on the songs as a whole.
Anyhow he had downloaded the album on our shared iTunes for a road trip, I think mostly to see my reaction( the album is still on ITunes if you’d want to listen).
Back then I recall the songs made me blush and feel all around awkward...which he thought was hilarious.
While there are certainly DD undertones, you really have to listen to the lyrics to take that away. ( At least two songs Cry, Cry, Cry and Sweet Tears are pretty straight forward.)
So they did not make any playlist nor did I listen to them over the years.

Anyhow, all this time later I had forgotten that they were on my phone...
Yesterday I had picked my best friend up from her parent’s house and had my phone on shuffle playing on the Bluetooth in the car.
She and my sister were in the back seat when this song came on, at first I was trying to place it and my friend even was listening trying to recognize it...then I remembered, and thought “Holy Crap not THAT song”- I cursed and fumbled to turn off, all while keeping my eyes on the road I might add!!
I made up some excuse as to why I needed it to be quiet... not sure how much they heard of the Sweet Tears song.
I was thinking evil thoughts towards my husband for the rest of our drive... but I knew he would find it hilarious.
When I told him later at night he laughed and laughed!

( sidenote: I know very little in regards to the background to this album or artist... I bet my husband might. I will have to ask him.😉 )

Thought you all might have a laugh at my awkward car ride!

I checked out those two songs real quick.

YES that would be very awkward (at least for me)

AWKWARD!! lol I've never heard of those before. You're right, Sweet Tears is so obvious.

Our first dance song at our wedding was The Marriage Prayer by John Waller. We had quite a few comments afterwards about that song!

I thin Cry Cry Cry is very sensual.

Okay... I'm going to dedicate these two songs to Y and wait for his reaction 😂

You can still find "Cry, Cry, Cry" on google.

I find versions by Coldplay and Johny Cash. Are those the same song as the one by Colin Farish?
