Very random question, but does anybody on here play chess?

Have not played in a long time, but I do enjoy a good game.

Me too. I’ve not played for a long time either. I wouldn’t say I was particularly good, the number of times I thought I’d checked all my opponent’s possible moves, and then I move my Queen, or my Rook, only to see my opponent whip it off with something like a Knight...

But I do enjoy a game of chess. MrsSweetie doesn’t play, although she’s a wizard at Othello and Connect 4.

I didn't think I knew what Othello was. But I looked it up. In America it's called Reversi. And I can tell you I am good at it!!

I believe the board game was originally called Othello, and the computer game is called Reversi (most likely for trademark reasons). You can find Othello in the states. I used to play my grandmother many moons ago.

They are the same board game. Reversi is the newer version. Mattel makes them both. You can also play Reversi on the computer.

OK, they may have changed the name. The game I played was branded Othello, but like I said, that was many moons ago.

I used to play chess and have Othello too. Actually I own probably 50 or more board games but have only played gin and uno this summer while we camped in Montana. I used to love Zoo Tycoon on the computer. My son liked to mix the animals and they ate each other:)

We always take Uno away with us when we go skiing.
